Stop buying into fast fashion Fast fashion is all about cheap clothing designed to meet a particular tend that will only fade in a matter of months. One golden rule taken from the experts is to ask if you can see yourself wearing an item at least 30 times before you purchase it. 2. Second-hand shopping Shopping for items in charity shops is a win for the planet in a couple of ways. First of all, you are preventing the item you purchase from ending up at landfill and secondly, you are not creating further demand for new items to be manufactured. Plus, you are also helping charities raise a bit of money whilst saving yourself some too. 3. Rent an outfit If you have a big occasion coming up such as a wedding or a prom, why not consider renting an outfit rather than purchasing something new that you will only wear once.
